    Fireworks

Hi there, does anyone know where I can get fireworks at the moment? We wanted to let some off christmas eve - I was hoping the shops would have them back in again ready for new years eve but havent found any. Has anyone?

    Thanks

you may want to check but as far as i know its actually illegal to set them off after 11pm on any day other than the 5th Nov.

Thanks for the websites, will look into them.

Thanks for the message Limpduck - wasn't planning on setting them off late - around 6pm so that Father Christmas knows which house to leave presents at! Hoping kids will be in bed way before 11pm - fat chance!

Not sure what your budget is but there are a few specialist shops open all year around if you're at the higher end of the market...

    Try one of these:
]http//ww…uk/ (lots of videos so you can see what you're getting)
]http//ww…uk/ (next day delivery and cheaper than above)
    ]http//ww…om/

Note: Most of the bigger fireworks require a 25m safely distance - just in case your garden isn't big enough!
Note: Check the p&p on the orderes - ideally you'll find a shop in driving distance

NB: The law is as follows:
"It is an offence to let fireworks off during night hours (11pm to 7am), except on Bonfire Night (midnight), Diwali, New Year, and Chinese New Year (1am)."

Complete waste of time - father Christmas will still be packing his sleigh at 6pm!
Best solution is the traditional mince pies and Whiskey/ Beer - it's always worked in our house ;-)

I was going to suggest lidl too - perhaps the kids can wait for a New Year celebration
