    Flat Parking Issues

So I live in a flat with a car park that has numbered spaces on the bays according to the flat numbers.

I have been using justpark.com to rent out the space when I'm not using it and all was going well until the last two days another car has parked in my space so when the customer turns up they cant access the space.

Any ideas on the bets way to deal with this?

I imagine whoever has parked there has spotted that someone else has been parking there and it wasn't you.

They've then assumed it's fair game. I'd leave a note on their windscreen in the first instance politely asking them not to park there and see how it goes.

Put a polite note on his/her windscreen asking not to park there as the space is private. Or speak to them if you see them.

Thanks. I've done that I but what if it continues, what would the next step be?

get a bollard to be installed and then use a padlock with a code that can be removed by the ligitimate customer, i would also have about 4 padlocks and alternate them to stop anyone just learning the code..

also if the car park is part of the factor get the car towed away extreme but if it is a persistent offender then could be justified..

Perhaps they have assumed you are at work and they will move by the time you get back.

do you own the flat or mortgaged? are you renting the flat? what are the written terms of use of the parking space? is there a body, other than yourself, who has a responsibility to maintain and police the space? how would anyone, other than yourself, know whether the vehicle parked in the space had been allowed to by you?

if it was me i would park my car behind them so they couldn't get out. Which would make them find out who the owner of the car was thus in turn they would find out whos parking space it was and then maybe they would be polite enough to ask if you had any issues with them using it

I'm more on the extreme side - put a rude note on saying park here again and your car may have a little 'accident'.

Just break his windows with a hammer....they won't park there again..
