I take it you're not a Man U fan then (there's only 1 good team in manchester)

Check the man u fans, alot will be trying to sell theirs..

We're off to an Island nearby, then ferry across, ferry back the next morning

Liverpool Airport are having a meeting this morning to discuss the possibility of putting on extra chartered flights. I think it's the airports response to massive overpricing by hungry corporate machines like easyjet and BA.

Expect an announcement today. Also Barnes Travel and Lonsdale are going to announce the packages they have on Friday/Saturday which will include your match ticket. Around the £600-700 mark. May not be ideal but they have an excellent record in club trips.

does that mean include the ticket for the game as well ? I mean it's a bit cheap, isn't it

Barnes and Lonsdale are the official travel partners of Liverpool FC, so you are guaranteed a match ticket. You have to give them your fancard number so that they can purchase the ticket on your behalf. The fancard will hold the information of what games you've attended in Europe this season so if you've not been to one, or indeed a few, you won't get your ticket.

£600 of it will be for the flight and the other £80 or so for the match ticket.

That will depend on you having sufficient credits to qualify though I would imagine?

And with an allocation of 17k tickets I guess that will be credits for all 6 home games if you're a season ticket holder or 6 homes plus 1 away if you just have a fancard.

Filo's right. Priority goes to the fans who meet a certain criteria. To divide 17k tickets between probably ten time the amount of those who want to go is going to see some people disappointed. Liverpool have yet to announce how they are doing it but going from experience it will be something like 6 home ties and a couple of away ones, then 6 home 1 away and keep reducing the requirement until they've sold out.

Barnes and Lonsdale will be open for business on Saturday morning to take details so it'll be tonight or tomorrow when we find out the allocation.

It's doing my head in cos I have accomodation booked, a flight that just needs confirming but no guarantee I have a ticket.

Here is the 2005 ticket info when we had more tickets so predict a similar system. I managed to get tickets last time with only 6 games on a fan card but with 5,000 less allocation can't imagine the same this time!

Plus this team most season ticket holder seem to have full home loyalty, a lot of them got caught out by the loyalty system in 2005 and missed out
