Flights & Stay - Amsterdam

Found 30th Jan 2008
Looking to fly to Amsterdam in June time for a stag do. They'll be a fair few going. Has anyone seen any cheap flights recently? Looking to fly from East Midlands or perhaps Coventry, Birmingham at a push

What about the accommodation? I'm sure we'll all be happy staying in a hostel or something, what about the Bulldog? Are they any good?

Looking to do this as cheap as possible so would really be thankful if someone could offer some advice/prices.

Many thanks in advance.

im off at the end of february with a group we did look at hostels but had left it to lateto get us all in one hostel so if you go down this route book early.we have an apartment for 8 of us for just under 1100 euros so just under 50 euros a night booked it through stayamsterdam.com. hope it helps /

Thanks for that. I'll mention it. Where was it situated? Ideally we want to be central.

the one we have is north of the train station slightly away from the middle of it about 3 miles but close enough to catch buses and taxis

Watch out for the taxis - we got one when we stayed there and it cos t a fortune! Use the trams - they're brilliant - much better than public transport over here. We booked hotel Barbara through expedia but im not sure if its still listed on expedia or not - there's quidco on expedia too

For cheap flights have a look at bmi baby flying from Birmingham, I had a look 2 days ago and they start at about £5

try priceline, stayed there 4* for £44 each, in the moat house great location city center south.
