Flights to New Zealand

We're going to NZ at the end of January next year - however, the flight prices seem to have gone up an awful lot compared to the last time we went (we paid £475 each!) and I'm struggling to find anything under a thousand pound each.

I wondered if there were any tips for helping to reduce the price - i.e quidco, points, etc? Also, is it worth waiting for any offers to come out or do you think the price will just continue to keep increasing?

We are also taking my 2 year old son so any recommendations greatly appreciated.

Probably Heathrow although we live in the Midlands so anywhere but scotland would be fine I guess.

it might pay you to book a round the world flight with stop in New Zealand this is what we did and it was cheaper _ with Air New Zealand and Virgin
