i know you are cross but he is only 7, yes he needs to know that it is wrong, but it could be worse he could have smashed a window or something!!

My nephew is nearly 6 he can be a little beggar at times, but when you ask him if he's done something he always admits to it,i wonder at what age that will change!

Even worse than that, he could pretend he's a gangsta who earns £1.4k per week.

See always got to look on the bright side, it could always be worse sass

thats the pint, he doesnt go out, there is 10 houses around a green, and neither of my children have played out unless im with them. today the little girl in one of the houses asked if he could play in their back garden, and whilst their they obviously snook out, although she is allowed out on her own and shes only 5

That's a great idea.
You obviously need to tell him that what he did isn't on [which you've done} but I think he will hae learnt his lesson, and its lovely that he picked them for his mum, bless him.

When I was 7 my cousin and I picked all the petals off my grandads prize winning rose bushes, mixed 'em up with soil and water from the garden tap and then painted each others faces with the mixture.
It's the only time I can remember being in trouble with my grandad

No idea what this means, but...Okay.

offering to replace the bulbs is a good idea sassie, he may see the funny side of it and just let it go.

I came home from walking the dogs this morning and my 12 year old had decided to see just how thick the faux leather beanbag was by throwing a knife at it........needless to say the living room was full of polystyrene balls! he is now contemplating the error of his ways in his bedroom

well why did you say "Isn't your daughter a teenager? "

i took as a response to me saying neither of them have been allowed out to play unsupervised, hence my post she wasnt born a teenager, she was also once a little one

I guess I have all this fun to come my little one is only 2 - I like the post that just said throw them back over the fence - lol - obviously not a very good idea though!

could have been a lot worse - but yeah I guess I'd make ours (not at 2 obviously but in future) go round and say sorry with some sort of small gift & some new bulbs.
