    Flooding pictures

Just thought we could do with a post for somewhere to put our pics.

I live near the River Ousel (Hanslope, Milton Keynes), and here's the result!

I would say 'Fascinating'. I just wonder where does all the water finish? Think of it like a desert, but water! Thats what fascinates me...

Perhaps thats one plus of living over the border from buckinghamshire

That said Syresham and Silverstone were pretty badly hit yesterday.

Nothing to do with me :giggle: :giggle:

About a street away is something that was made to help protect against flooding, but apparently it made the flooding worse than it had been before it was made!

"Caldecott is virtually an island" im on that island

I know theres been alot of critisim about the lack of preparation, but what can you do anout this much water?! If you create a defence system, the water just travels to the next town/village, causing flooding there. The answer is don't build/live in low lying areas. ...or move to spain or the middle east.

My advise is get some botteled water and food in so you do not have to travel then sit it out ..My thoughts are with you keep safexx we are so lucky there have not been more deaths

its all pretty breathtaking, i never thought abingdon would get it. everything is fairly controled so i wouldnt expect any deaths around here. just a lot of damage. there may be some toxic stuff in the water, there are some pretty bad smells and police/firemen are looking into it

1500 people evacuated from abingdon tonight good luck Morales
