Found 2nd Aug 2014
So thinking about a trip to florida at xmas. Have read a lot of peoples reviews saying that it's really busy and the parks can actually reach capacity. Just looking to hear from anyone that has been and can let me know how they got on?

Thinking about the week before xmas and the week after....cheers

We went at Christmas a few years ago & vowed never to go again at that time of year! Magic Kingdom was closed at midday on 1 of the days as it was full to capacity. The queues were enormous everywhere, although the decorations etc were amazing. 1 of the nicest times to go is the beginning of November before Thanksgiving, the parks aren't too busy and all the Thanksgiving sales have started in the shops!!

We went for Xmas 4 years ago never again we had to cue upto 3 hrs for some of the popular rides we stayed in 1 of Disney's hotels we imagined this would be an added bonus for the kids but it wasn't
Apparently Xmas time is when all the Americans holiday in Disney land
Hence the queues in parks
As to your ? About fast track passes you are only allowed 1 at anytime n you can only use f/t at t time printed on t pass n sometimes we add 3 hrs b4 t pass time so basically we was lucky if we got 2 rides a day without having to que for hrs my opinion Xmas is not a good time for us Brits to explore Disney.

same as the other comments, we went 1 week beore xmas absolutely brilliant so quite, xmas day onwards was just to busy for everything.

if I was you go 2 weeks before xmas

Hi, have booked to go myself after many summer trips and am a bit worried about lines.
However regarding Universal I got a good tip; if you stay on site you get a free UNLIMITED express pass for each person plus early entry to harry Potter. It works out about £250 for a night but you can arrive at 8am leave your bag go direct to park and next day stay to closing, this is valid from arrival to end of day of departure and is $90 each per day to buy. So works a treat and no queues there! BTW booked our apartment for the full duration and then going to Universal during that so no baggage needed except an overnight bag.
We are going on 19th and cannot wait to see decorations etc, just wondering what to do for Christmas Day as parks are a no go as its their busiest day of year.

Went 16th december i til 2nd jan a few years ago, dod all the parks etc before christmas day and it was brilliant as it was so quiet, come christmas day onwards it was very busy but we planned our days so as not to be doing much in the way of the parks then. I do know they closed the Magic Kingdom on christmas day at about 10 ish as it was full to capacity.

It is definitely a great time to go, kids loved it and better than the other times we have been to florida just plan it well beforehand.
