    Food Combo's That Shouldn't Work But Do

    Mod & Ed
    Following on from the marmite shortage in New Zealand thread, I love marmite & have some everyday, I've found a few food combo's with / without marmite that shouldn't work, but just do. Anyone else have any?
    A couple of my all time favourites are;
    bacon, marmite & banana bagel / baguette
    cranberry, brie, stilton, grape & turkey panini
    pastrami, strawberry & mayo bagel / baguette

    X) not usually - it was a treat and a set menu in a French rest. and that was the starter. I thought eew that sounds weird and even looked strange as it was chopped strawberries in juice all over the turkey but it really worked.

    Lemon? On fish? Now that is posh

    I can, you've seen the trellis & I know secretly you want it badly

    Bog standard supermarket cheese and tomato pizza that cost about 50p, microwaved, yes microwaved then spread with marmite and sprinkled with salted and roasted cashew nuts.

    I enjoy cooking and baking but sometimes just want this if the kids are out and its just me and the cat. It's fast and tastes salty, cheesy, soft and crunchy all at the same time.

    i really do, im just saving up as i know the build quality will reflect the price

    Have just recently stated eating my pasta salad on a baguette, gorgeous it is. When my lad was little he used to have peas on toast and I recently caught my daughter putting grated cheese on her weetabix :-o. Said she thought it'd be nice but I stopped her.

    Try a chunk of cheddar cheese, topped with coffee granules, topped with honey. I hate coffee and honey but all 3 together is lovely!

    Try mash and chocolate with red sauce

    Filet steak with strawberrys and black pepper corns. So yummy.

    Try a couple of cream crackers with a spoonful of branston baked beans on each, then sprinkle cheese over the lot and zap in the microwave for 40 secs, mmmmmm
