So, is this natural or global warming?

apparently its those pesky russians conducting weather warfare.

the pints in there are well watered down anyway.

just wondering if anyone has dared brave the M5 today? if so what's the condition now. Have had a look at the ]Highways Agency website

which now says both M50 & M5 open. I was stuck between J6-7 on M5 yest with kids in tow for around 10 hours, finally turned back to Brum (was on way to S.Wales) when they kindly opened up the central reservation, shame no-one had thought of doing that earlier! In two-minds whether to risk it today or hold-tight til Sunday. Any experience of the relevant roads today would be appreciated.

Are you sure? I drove to evesham yesterday and home again with no problems getting in or out.

    It is devastating though

wow that area looks bad, im familiar with it and its shocking to see it underwater

just wondering, for those whoes villages are caught in floods, how are you supposed to get the post? or do you not.

post will be the last thing they are thinking of i would expect!!!

Post will be held at the local sorting office for collection if it's that badly flooded.

If you can come through from Studly way, you should be able to go through, if you want to see your mom.

It's just getting into evesham they live in the Rynal so i only need to come down greenhill but i have been told that this is only letting residents in as the bridges are closed and they do not want sightseers in...

I am lucky, we have had lots of rain but no worries of flooding. My thoughts are with those that have suffered damage to their homes, and I hope that it is only material positions that are lost.

Good question, not one that had even entered my mind!

i only did because im expecting some mail from the bank any day now along with other stuff

I am so thankfull that I live near the top of a hill!

I went into Redditch on the first day of the floods and it took me over an hour and a half to do my normal 5 min journey.

    Safe driving peeps!

Thankfully living in the Fen lands has some advantages as it very rarely ever floods.

Yer we had floods in my area under the railway bridge 2 cars go trapped wtih ppl in there but no fatalities

My Home City has flooded with family in the worst hit area. Some amazing pictures around on the Internet.

My family are in Gloucester ( Tuffley area),they have no water,no phone lines,no electricty in parts, but luckly none of their houses flooded yet!!
I am so worried about all in Glos,it's such a lovely county for this to happen to them is sad.

Some corner shops are trying it on by trying to sell bread @ £5 :x

More rain to come too,not good.:-(

    hotscot

    What community spirit

If people there have any sense they'll vote with their wallets/purses and go elsewhere and let said ****** cornershops go out of business.
