formatting hard drive from ntfs to fat32?? how is it done

Well ive tried doing it and it only gives me like 32gb or so. Ive read on various forums that windows wont format anything larger.

Its a western digital mypassport 250gb hdd. I went on the WD website and tried downloading the formatting utility for fat32 but it freezes at 99%.

    What else can i try?

    Thanks

    Same thing just happened...

cos fat 32 filesystem has limit of 3.99 gig for ISO ....single file NTFS is what you need to use to overcome that.

    yeah obviously

Ahhhhhhhhhh no wonder lol. But the ps3 wont recognize NTFS.

Yup, you can put larger files on the internal hard drive with no problems.

Oh well now to figure out why streaming won't work. It showed my pc yesterday. turned it on today and it cant find no media servers :s

    Repping you guys

    Use ]this to split it
Then you can then play the movie from USB drive plugged into PS3 or transfer it to PS3
It will also fix any sound incompatibility problems.

Is it for ps3? You could stream it straight onto the ps3 hdd using ps3 ]media server or you could split the file in two.

I've never tried it personally but I've read it works on forums...For music, pictures etc it works just fine! Seems to work on most things internet ready. So far tried it on PS3, Xbox, Wii, Pda, second PC and Netbook even on my mobile! No problems yet!

surely you would have to set the default folder for tversity and include any videos in that folder for your ps3 to see. eg share the video folder.
