I get bothered with foxes in my garden and got this tip from an oldie - and its been working......here goes!

Get some human hair (i get mines from the hairdresser!) stuff some tights with said human hair and hang around the garden! Foxes hate it and it keeps them away.........................okay folks whatever ur gonna say lol av already had it said!!!!!!

Forget Fox hunting what about chav hunting?

Actually i dont think there are more about, i just think they are becoming less rural and venturing further into town centres.

I have heard of many people doing this and it works. According to what i have read the hair actually builds up static electricity within the tights. Its this that scares the fox. Who knows if its true or really how it works but many swear by it.

THANKYOU!!!!! must say my friends and family absolutely howled with laughter when I told them what I had been doing - and also the embarrassing trips into the hairdresser to ask for the hair - they think am just a weirdo with a hair fetish.

If people are calling you weird for doing that they really need to search the internet a little more. Whats out there i am sure can put you to shame. Actually i can put you to shame

Quite a few animals can sense or get annoyed by electrical current because having whiskers they can generally sense things we cant. Like rabbits, if you have a house rabbit it will always head for electrical wires and try to chew them. The current in some way annoy them. Its the same principle was explained with the hair and tights trick.

Fox hunting really should not have been banned, it was people who didn't like the pompous behaviour of the country type, nothing really to do with foxes...
Nevermind, only another 6-12 months of this government to go....

It is a fox... Come on, get a grip...

I kill hundreds of living creatures when I mow the grass, chasing the little things all over my lawn with my mower.. Poor things..

My cat brought in a squirrel at the weekend, I congratulated him by giving him a piece of chicken...

I feel sorry for the poor chickens and that getting ripped to pieces by the foxes that are are a pest in the counrty side and need to be controlled.

Seeing pompass ass's taking pleasure in ripping a live animal apart is a good reason to have it banned. I certainly don't see it being unbanned either.

    OTOH

Cats in my back garden are a far bigger concern.

    Cat hunting anyone?

We have two that walk in front of our house each night. I feed them if I have food left over.

I hope you don't have any neighbours who keep animals like rabbits or chickens living near you. They might not be too happy with you attracting foxes to the area.

    It's well-meaning, but un-needed.

Two things - firstly, the mob is never angry (in my experience) and secondly, I hope you don't feed that dog of your's any meat or ever get it wormed.

I had a family of foxes living under my shed last year and one of them became diseased and wondered into the house, as it apparantly becomes an outcast and is then forced to leave the clan. :?

The end result is, he climbed up the stairs, stunk out the whole house, left poo and blood stains all over our beige carpetting, which still hasn't come out and ended up dying on our front door step after hours of suffercation, while we required to call in a team of people, as we weren't allowed to touch the fox.

They told us that because foxes are an indangered species, that we would could receive a £1000's fine if we harmed the fox and we weren't allowed to try remove the other foxes either.

I feed them because loads of cats have been going missing lately. We have a couple of wooded areas close by and have always had foxes prowling around. I'm hoping that giving them food will stop them taking cats. I get your point though.

Maybe the best option would be to arrange a hunt to reduce the numbers to a reasonable level before they take over..

As I said, they have been in the area for many years. I do think that there will have to be a cull though before their numbers get too large. Squirrels are starting to come into the area too, so maybe they will end up as fox food instead of cats.

Yeah my mum keeps chickens, loves foxes to bits though. Guy at work keeps chickens has even had two killed by them, but still loves them so what you're saying doesn't apply.

    After........

Well I've lived in the countryside pretty much all my life and have maybe seen 3-5 foxes in my 38 years... I've seen more foxes whilst driving down motorways than I have around my own area. And no I don't see why foxes should be hunted.... and while we are at it, farmers that breed pheasants so that they can shoot them for sport when released should have to pay for the damage that they cause on the roads after they escape the hunt. Let alone the morality of it... why hunt something if you're not gonna eat it... a-holes!!
