MOD's, Could you please remove all car lease's from the site and move them to Discussions as most of them have deposit's. Except on this one the money is returned if you have not caused damage.
Mod's obviously don't understand deposits, it's returned when you return the item. You would have to pay the deposit to rent it anyway. So this does save a lot of money. Great deal, and I did give you heat.
Thank you so much for posting this! The £525 refundable deposit will put off any freebie hunters but it's great for those looking for a new camera. Thanks again!!! (edited)
Well worth it though, the lenses I want to try are worth over £4000. To be able to try them out, as most lenses are not returnable unless they have an inherent fault.
Mods stated because it requires a deposit, it's not a deal...
Imagine if, as someone mentioned above they say it has a scratch or it gets damaged in the return post etc. Love everything Canon but I can't take the risk!
Oh god, instantly regretting my decision
I would say, the kit is very likely not going to be brand new, hence the availability checker - they will only be renting out a certain number of items. You can check it very carefully on arrival and contact them with any issues immediately. It states the kit will be delivered in a hard case (having rented from other companies, usually in a Peli or similar case). I've never experienced damaged camera kit packed properly in hard cases, even flying and shipping my kit thousands of miles across the globe.
In short, I wouldn't worry too much, but you should exercise due diligence in protecting yourself by noting and photographing any previous damage, as you should renting absolutely anything. At least damage is easier to spot on a camera or lens than a car!
Brilliant tip!
That’s good to know! Thank you for the reassurance. I’ll make sure to give it a good once over when it arrives! Can’t wait to take it out hopefully the weather holds!
