there are similar services in quite a few places, I expect.

my own borough - southwark - holds a do on Christmas day at function rooms in guy's hospital - transport provided - £5 gift to take home.

I can't find this year's online yet - contact the local pensioners' centre if interested.

Nobody should be alone at that time of year.Well done to all involved.
I feel old...

How do they define elderly???

Kindest regards
let 'em starve, I want on the property ladder. After Wendy's escapades on the chase last night it's time the elderly were kept in cages
Freeloaders.

Great to see altruism alive and kicking
Ageism, disgusting.
Good to see they provide transport - any idea what time pick up is from Warrington?
Does 46 count? Technically I will be getting a pension.
What about an old person that looks young? Will they profile them and ask to show ID to prove they qualify (which ever age they define as being “elderly”!!). Potentially vice Versa!

Were you never told to sit up straight at the table ?

Agreed. We should send children up chimneys again and make them pay for their own food
