i think if you have a nectar card, on there site you can get a free eye test and 200 free points (i thinks its at D&A but im not 100% sure). Il check now and post back in a few mins

okay iv just checked and it is a free eye test at donald and atkinson and you get 500 free nectar points (which is worth £2.50 in sainsburys vouchers).

I was actually going to print the coupon off myself and use it, but havent got round to booking an appointment.

Dont know what the T&C's are though, there may be a catch. Hopefully someone else may have used the voucher before and could shed some more light.

BTW if you are not already a member you could join quickly and easily at ]http//ww…com

if they have a tax credit nhs exemption card they can get an nhs eye test anywhere - Boots, D & A, vision express - anywhere

    From NHS Choices nhs.uk/chq…157

You are entitled to a free sight test, paid for by the NHS, if:

you are under 16 years of age,
you are 16, 17, or 18, and in full-time education,
    you are 60 or over,
you have been diagnosed with diabetes or glaucoma,
you are 40 or over, and your mother, father, brother, sister, son or daughter has been diagnosed with glaucoma,
an ophthalmologist (eye doctor) has advised you that you’re at risk of glaucoma,
you are registered as blind or partially sighted,
you are prescribed complex lenses – these are lenses with a power of 10 dioptres or more, or prism controlled bifocal lenses,
your sight tests are usually done through a hospital eye department, as part of your care for an existing eye condition, or
you are a war pensioner and you need the sight test because of a disability for which you get a war pension.
You are entitled to full help with health costs, including sight tests, if you or your partner receive:

    Income Support,
    Income-based Jobseeker's Allowance,
Income-related Employment and Support Allowance, or
    Pension Credit Guarantee Credit.
You can also get a free NHS sight test if you’re entitled to, or named on, a valid NHS tax credit exemption certificate.

Brilliant, i thought that was the case, thanks for the advice!

Think you will also get a NHS voucher too..so will get some money off specs if needed!!

specsaver at bishop auckalnd, thats where i got mine anyway

you also get free eye test if you work with computer screens over a certain amount of time a day/week, not sure how long though... i think.

    Well my company does it.

    danda.co.uk/tmn…ff/

This says free eye test when you spend £100 on glasses, however when they send you the voucher, it is separate, and appears to be just for a free eye test.

    Worth a try
