I went on their livechat, complained a lil got the SuoerHub 3 for free, a month ago. Maybe worth a try for those whom the deal thingy doesn't work.

I also have 2ac version is it 3.0 better anyone? I spoke to customer service yesterday regards my recent upgrade and why I didn't get a new hub and was told it is for new customers only. Couple of weeks ago received email saying they give me free boost from 50 to 70mbs but nice man on the phone said there is no such a offer on my account.

Yes but not major, same chipset etc. Both by Netgear. 2ac supports 802.11ac, 2 doesn't.

As a beta tester of superhub 3, you don't really want it. It feels cheap and is exactly that, built by some random company. UI is also terribly slow, you can upgrade to it if you want to stick it on modem mode otherwise I wouldn't want to use it

I originally had the old SuperHub, the original one and it made it 10x better. I got less packet loss and my download is 50 Mbps, Upload is 10 Mbps. On steam downloads I get 7-9 Mbps

No it is 50mps. I rang up last week requesting free upgrade and was told I was not eligible. They wanted an extra £ 4/ month for 100mbps.

70mbps was only for new customers or certain customers.

Not heard anything good about the SH3. I've got the SH2ac which was a massive difference on the original SH.

Don't think I'm going to upgrade. Besides I've put in for my cancellation and not heard anything back yet. Maybe they are prepared to lose long term customers than gove heavy discounts.

You're the only one i have heard of which such a slow speed. Log into your account as you can activate the increase online. Did mine 8 months ago.

check here as you may be in a poor signal area (I believe the vast majority of old & new customers are on 70mbps minimum now)

Well my computer is in the next room to the router, so it's not wired. But when I did upgrade they did say it was an upgrade to 70mbps.

Yes, it's a free upgrade to everyone. I would complain again if i had a lower speed than everyone else.

I guess you must be in one of the last areas to be upgraded. I would wait the month for 70 rather than pay more.

Don't understand why you can't find me on your accounts as I have been a customer with cable even before Virgin took over the company. I do so hope you will be able to upgrade my hub for me. Thank you.

have already asked for an upgrade. Received another letter today asking if I would like an upgrade to hub3,0. Have been with virgin for over 14 years and guess what they cannot find me on their accounts although they have been taking my money for 14 years.

It said they couldn't find me as a customer so I called them up. Receiving my Hub 3 on Friday. . Cheers OP.
