FreeSat or Sky FreeSat.

Hi Guys & Gals,

We will soon be moving to an area with no Virgin Media and limited Freeview reception I am not really interested in subscribing to Sky. And this is where I need you help as I am having trouble deciding between either FreeSat or Sky FreeSat.

FreeSat HDR Has the two HD channels and the ability to record channels; however has less channels e.g.its missing Fiver & Five US

Sky FreeSat. has more channels however I would need to pay sky £10.00 a month to activate the recording facility on a Sky+/Sky HD box

Is there anyway that I can have the best of both worlds??? E.g. buy a Sky FreeSat card and put it in a non skybox so that I can record channels?!?!

I have been searching forums and google and havent come up with much luck. If someone could fill in the blanks that would be great.

I hope it all makes sense

Sara x

I'd look at it this way, do you really need Fiver and Five US?

Id like the option too, hubby loves Steven Segal films LOL

IMO it's not much of a choice - Freesat HDR. No skipping through 100's of channels you CAN'T watch recording without paying a tenner a month!
