Freeview +...any recommendations or guidance required

Looking to maybe get my mom a freeview + box.

Does anyone have any recommendations or advice about them?

Also as she mainly watches terrestrial series is there a series link on them as on the Sky + boxes. This is probably the most important thing as she records onto video at the moment and has to keep setting (missing) it for every programme. It would be much better if she could set up all of her series and forget about them.

Thanks for any help given.

One child has a Thompson from Asda at £80 that is very noisy all the time. It stopped working after six months but they exchanged it by courier and the new one still works but is still noisy.
Second child has an Alba160gb came from Argos at £100. It works differently and has no noisy fan.
I had to read the Av forum to understand these PVR things.

get the humax - £118.99 on amazon

Humax seems to be about the most reliable. I have used others, but gave them away.
