    yes but that would mean you would need a computer aswell, im looking for a way to attach it directly to the monitor somesort of scart to pc monitor converter

    oh soz, sounds a bit overkill tho mate as you would need speakers and an amp as well.

    well because my friend i want to get a new monitor to play my 360 on as they are cheaper than tv's, and therefor i wanted to know if i could watch tv on my monitor as it would be a great convenience.

    Aha lol makes sense now, id pay a bit more for a tv mate to save the hassle

    You could use something like this;

    maplin.co.uk/Mod…t15

    But for the price it's not worth it

    Aye and dont forget you gonna need the monitor to have speakers and they are generally cack on a monitor whereas the speakers on my plasma are absolutely incredible sounding.

    seems a bit heavy duty, i will indeed purchase a tv, so does anyone know where i can get a tv which i can use as a c monitor and has freeview built in that is around 22" and is very cheap

    If you already have a PC monitor this is the cheapest option;

    You basically connect up whatever you want to watch on the monitor into that box (so your freeview box) then connect that box to your monitor. Reading up on it you can use it in windows aswell so you can be on your PC whilst having your freeview box on the montor aswell

    only 27.99

    Got one myself from PC world for the equivalent of £215 - bought a samsung 940MG ( as did my dad ) and between us 5 of them failed! So got that as a replacement, lovely bit of kit but they are right when they say the speakers are treble-focused - found it a problem playing guitar hero.

    Got a scart to audio adaptor lying about so will try that when i'm back in newcastle but i don't think it's going to work

    Just over £30 with p&p (marketplace). I got mine from ebay for about £25 delivered, brilliant device. Makes old pc monitors useful again.

    Is a monitor cheaper than a tv? Maybe they are for small sizes, I'd want nothing smaller than 32" now though.
