I am sure i saw some of these posted quite recently but can't seem to find them now. Looking for a freeview recorder (PVR) cheap as possible but must be good, doesn't need to be Top-up, Hard drive size not too important.

Yes that is one of them:thumbsup: Looking to see if there are alternatives as that one is said o be really noisy even in standby.

Cheapest i can find , one has a twin tuner so you can watch one channel and record another , have dealt with microdirect in the past and no problems

The customer reviews don't think much of it.

TBH, the only really suitable one at the money is the Thomson.

Ok it may have a little noise from the fan, it is otherwise a good PVR.

I'm seriously tempted by the Thomson one too - some reviews say that noisy ones can be easily suppressed with a light object.

If you get stuck then BarneyDogs suggestion is also available here direct.tesco.com/q/R…spx

But I would highly recommend this pack direct.tesco.com/q/R…spx

As I understand it you only have to subscribe to one of their packages for 1 month, and its a great 'sky+' style box you get for the deal

Indeed smidav, taken from the original artist himself

Saw him support Seasick Steve a week or 2 back - not heard of him before that, great live act.

Thanks but i think the one at Dabs has too many bad reviews. The Thomson looks not too bad at Tesco Direct but wonder how noisy it really is.

How about this barebone one from ]maplins? £49.99

If you have any old hard drive kicking about - this would put it to good use. Also supports up to 500gb.

Sure there must be some discount codes of something from them about.
