Hi all, after grabbing one of the argos guitar hero guitars yesterday I thought I'd download frets on fire as people were talking about it. I only downloaded it to my mac but it looks a bit un-user friendly and a bit complicated. Can anyone offer any help with it, i.e. is it better on the pc, should I use it as is or attempt to use it with a mod such as fifo? Where do you get songs from? How do you make it look like the guitar hero game which I believe is possible? Any help will be appreciated and appropriate rep left, many thanks in advance

anyone?

I too am trying to get it working on Mac. No joy. Perhaps I should play my real guitar!

Get songs from the official frets on fire forum. Put the song folder in the frets on fire>data>songs directory.

If you want to make it look like the Guitar Hero game you need to download FoFix. When you've installed Fofix, grab a Guitar Hero theme from the forum and put them in the themes folder of Fofix directory. When in game, go to display settings and enable your theme.

The app file literally does nothing for me.

is there also an INI with controller settings for a guitar hero 2 explorer layout

or what are the meanings of each thing is settings or a guide to setting up the guitar (the coloured buttons are straightforward to set up in plr 1 settings as is up down left right but what about the strum and whammy bar and star power (tilting it up does work) but the strum bar and up down does not seem to work
