Best to go instore and the staff will be happy to show them what may suit them best (some are bulky but comfy) some are light and clever design (expensive) some are a pain to put in the boot whilst you have a newborn!.. so best way is to pop in to mothercare and also Mamas Papas have a look round.

Pramcenter and mamas & papas / mothercare then see if you can order cheaper somewhere else online?

Gumtree or ebay- buy good- quality second hand!!
    Just get new car seat.

BTW- Are both his girlfriend and wife expecting???

Seems like you and your mate have got a real bromance going on if you chat at work about what prams to buy.
My advice is to man up and start talking about fit women and how much beer you are going to drink at the weekend.
Tell your friend to let his wife choose the pram because whatever he chooses will be wrong. All he has to do is get his credit card out.
Any more good advice don't hesitate to ask.

John Lewis in store are also good for advice. sjr1974uk advice is spot on.

Try winstanleys pram world good site. I have silver cross pram for sale if interested (_;)

kiddies kingdom have a 10% off code. spring10

    great cossato range

A travel system. Sturdy. Fit for newborn, car and until they no longer need it. Also sturdy enough to get lots of shopping under without falling back

I bought my daughter a Gracio pram/buggy system recently for her first baby from Smyths. The lady in store was very helpful and we got a £250 item for £110 as it was end of line. Def worth checking if you have a store near you as they have a decent range to suit most pockets and in-store deals

We ordered ours from Pramcentre online after going into a few different shops to find out which one we liked. Super quick delivery. Always try before you buy as it needs to suit them both. Check online for reviews especially if it's their first as they probably need a guide to the pros and cons. We bought a travel system so we had the car seat and carrycot from birth and pushchair for when ours is a little bigger.
