    FS/FT Rules

Is there anything that stipulates payment must be made via Paypal/BT? I am thinking of selling some stuff and giving all proceeds to charity (I need to raise £2500 - climbing Kilimanjaro for Childreach). Could I get people to donate the money straight to a virginmoneygiving page?

Yes you can, been done before.

Such a nice thing too do?

Awesome. I'll have to start picking out some games, dvds, blurays, cds, anything else I can find, to sell then...

Thought this was against the rules at the current time on here.

Think it needs clarification on where to post as its unfair on other legitimate listings. Sorry to the op for being negative isn't aimed at your cause just the use of the Fsft.

Good luck with your fund raising

I've been through the rules and I can't see anything wrong with it.

I'd list prices, agree a deal as per usual. Instead of giving them my paypal address, I'd give them my virginmoneygiving page. When they have sponsored me, I'll post the item (out of my pocket).

I asked for a donation in a "Wanted" thread recently:

    [ hotukdeals.com/for…346 ]

The trade did not proceed because the member found what was needed elsewhere, but prior to asking for this I also checked the rules & found no reason why I had to use the typical methods of payment.

    BFN,

    fp.

Im pretty sure the only issue with listings like this in the past is that the items haven't had a set price against them its just been a case of donate what you think its worth to charity, which is the problem as the FS/FT rules are that every item must have a price. So I think if all your changing is the payment details then it shouldn't be a problem.

Your other way of doing it is to sell the items normally and every time you receive a payment pay it yourself into the fund.

AS long as you list a "guide price" i think its fine, although am not sure you can receive FB for them?

It was in regards to charity threads in general. Yours is not the first. Imo they need there own place. But this has never happened to know
