    fuel purchase on credit card

Hi, I recently applied for a credit card with Tsb which I received today. Was wondering does fuel purchases attract immediate interest or do you still have 56 day to pay balance off before interest is added?

    Thank You in advance

It's a normal purchase, not a cash advance (so whatever your usual time period will be)

Cards I've had its interest free until the 1st payment is due.
Things that aren't included is travel money which is classed as a cash withdrawal charge.

What led you to wondering this question, was it just that you are new to credit cards?

You normally only get interest free applied for purchases within up to the first 45-90 days of the account being open. Check the terms carefully, as using the card after the qualifying period will get those transactions clobbered with interest. Be careful, and use card wisely to get the maximum benefit.

Getting a credit card is for most but not all obviously a slippery slope. Everyone I know has debts when they got a credit card.

a credit card is by definition a debt, but i share your sentiment.

    treat with caution.
