Fujitsu Siemens 22" monitor connect to 360

Arrived a few weeks back and have tried to hook it up to my 360 using an official vga cable

I can get a decent picture but no sound, any help about which wires go where would be appreciated

Well VGA doesn't carry sound. You have to use the red and white phono leads, which I assume will plug into the red/white holes on the monitor.

Alternatively, I believe the 360 VGA lead comes with an adaptor which can change the phono leads into a 3.5mm jack (like the one you see on earphones). It really depends what inputs you have on the monitor.

I have two audio cables (one red one white), those both join into this other socket, which on its own fits into the monitors audio socket but when its attached to the wires I can't physically get it in as the stand is in the way

Hmm, that's a hassle. I imagine you'll need to find a hot deal on a 3.5mm extension cable.
If you know anyone with a broken pair of earphones like the Sony MDR-EX71 (horrendously unreliable) then they will have a spare one

Not sure I have one lying around any more, perhaps a HUKD member would care to donate?

    Any other help on this

Sounds like you monitor is on your stand backwards?, its not like fujitsu to put a port where u cant get at it

lol, I think it only goes on one way round.

I think the problem is that the ports are hidden under a 1cm plastic lip for aesthetics. A phono jack will fit but as the xbox converter is a big old plastic box is is too bulky to fit under the lip.
