Its my daughters 4th Birthday on Good Friday, and we want to take her somewhere she will enjoy..

1 catch...... we will need to travel via train, coming from Birmingham.

I have heard that Gullivers Kindgdom (matlock) is good.
But if anyone has any suggestions, that would be great

Gullivers kingdom is good but i would say the best for a 4 year old is Sundown ,Unfortunately it is seven miles from retford so i dont know how you would be able to plan your journey,

Looks fantastic!!! Thank You

Careful with Sundown, we've stopped going as it's quite run down compared to what it used to be like. Not sure what the train travel would be like but try Twin Lakes near Melton Mowbray, you'd need to get a taxi from Melton but if you can get a train there I can't think a taxi would cost you too much. My daughter has just turned 4 and loves it, as does her 7yr old sister and it's fab value for money with loads of rides, rollercoasters, huge indoor play area and a farm so plenty to keep them interested, they've even got an indoor ice skating rink but you have to pay an extra £1 for this. We never manage it all in a day and whilst the 4yr old can't go on the big rides, she can go on all the ones she wants to (and wouldn't be frightened on). Here's the link:- twinlakespark.co.uk/

Will take a look Thank You

Does your daughter like animals? As there are a couple of places in Birmingham you could take her to if you dont want to travel to far + it would save on the £'s & still can be a good day out for all of you

Birmingham Nature Centre + You got cannon hill park next door
Old Rectory Farm
You also got sea life centre.
