Gameboy Advance/Micro games help

Have been told that you can buy flash cards for the GBA/Micro which hold more games and some type of lead for the pc is also needed. Can anyone help me on this?Don't know anything about them or where to start so an idiots guide would be perfect.Or somewhere which sells preloaded games on flashcards would also be useful as now i have 3 GBA and need more games.  :santa: :santa:

Although it's predominantly about DS, you will find the hardware you need.

Hi Snake,

After recently buying a GBA SP, I did A LOT of research into GBA flash carts and now consider myself a bit of an expert on the subject.

As a basic guide :

1) The EZ-Flash 3 card is the best all round flash-cart for GBA.
This is available in sizes between 1Gb (will hold around 10-15 games of average size) to 8gb (will hold around 100 games).

2) Don't buy a card from a UK distributor, order one on-line from abroad (either USA or Japan). These cards are all made abroad. Uk sellers simply import them, then re-sell them at HUGELY marked-up prices.

Jandaman in the US is a reputable place to order from (I bought my 8Gb EZ Flash 3 from them for about £60 including postage).

3) Bear in mind that the GB Micro doesn't have the connection port to connect a flash-cart to your PC (for transferring game-roms) whereas the GBA does.
If you want to use a flash-cart on the Micro you will also need a GBA to actually transfer the games to the cart (once transferred, you can then plug the cart into your micro to play).

4) You don't need any special leads, you get everything you need when you buy a new flash-cart.

Any other questions, let me know.

Also, check out this site, it's a sort of semi-official forum for EZ Flash carts. You'll find "getting started" tutorials, answers to most questions etc. :
