Gamestation and RROD

It finally happened, my 360 has died! I've still got the receipt but it's 18 months old. If I take it back to gamestation (where I purchased it) will they do anything or do I have to send it off to Microsoft? Any advice would be much appreciated.

Didn't MS extend the warranty of the 360 to 3 years to cover the RROD? Maybe I dreamt this, but if it's the case it's prob worth contacting MS directly.

Call ms and arrange to get it repaired mate. Gamestation wont help you.

Yeah this is right, ours died like yours at 18 months didnt even bother taking it back to game, phoned them two days later they came an picked it up, make sure you take all serial numbers down just to be on the safe side :-D

The warranty in the shop is for the first 12months. After that is MS who deals with it

Yep, Microsoft will think it for you but....

.....under the sale of goods act you have a "contract" with GameStation and the question to ask is if it is resonable to expect something that cost you in excess of £200 to break within eighteen months. The answer in my view is no which would put them in breach of the Sale of Goods Act.

If you decide to enquire along that route would suggest taking it up with their head office as opposed to someone instore who may not have even heard of the Sale of Goods Act.
