Gamestation Trade In / Price Match Query!

Hello everyone

Just a quick question here...
I understand that Gamestation's policy on trading in games is that they will price match any competition plus beat them by a £1.
My question is if I took 10 games to Gamestation, and the CEX opposite all offered higher prices, would Gamestation match this and give me £1 extra for each game, thereby making a profit of £10?
Going to trade in some relatively old games soonish and wanted to know the best way to do it.

Thanks for any replies

yes correct

Yes. They give CEX + £1 on whatever you can prove CEX are paying.

I took Virtua Tennis 4 and InFamous in on Saturday and they did that no probs.

just print the prices from cex website off or show the staff on your phone if you can

Also, to save time, add all of them to the basket on the Cex sell to website (http://uk.webuy.com/sell/)
Print the final total basket value and take that in with you and they will do it straight away without going off to confirm the prices (and/or have a cup of tea at the same time...)

Not necessarily, some stores are different and can be **** to deal with. Some stores will only give you the +£1 on the TOTAL, not individually. Probably best to call your local first to double check.

And this is what I feared... Well I only have one Gamestation near me, so if they get funny I'll have no problem walking 5 metres into CEX instead!

Thanks for the info everyone!

went into gamestation today and because they and cex had the same price for trade in you dont get an extra pound only if they beat gamestation price.

That'll work, yea right!

Trade-in items are always at the discretion of the store Manager

If the OP's local store manager is a jobsworth then walking in and out will not make one iota of difference.

Okay so another question I have is there any way to check Gamestation trade in prices online? I can't seem to find it anywhere so I'm guessing not

You guessed correct, they don’t have their trade in prices online.

Ah how annoying! Oh well, I'll just have to waste their time and get them to scan every single barcode individually and then tell me aha

Guessing Game trade ins on the whole are awful? (especially for games nearly a year old...)

Game prices are usually a mickey take, worse than Gamestation's.

Thought as much! Thankfully I only trade to them with the new deal of the weeks etc tend to make a profit from that LOL
