    gaming laptop

Any recommendations on a gaming laptop, must be able cope with lots of browsers open etc. £600-£800 budget

That's a relatively limited budget for a gaming laptop...the pertinent question is which games do you want to play and at what type of quality?

These two are the best I could find for £800, with almost identical spec sheets. The MSI has a performance edge with its Core i7, but odds are the graphics card is going to bottleneck gaming performance long before the lack of hyperthreading in the HP's i5 processor would. It's for this reason that I'd take the HP model for its superior IPS display.

For £600, this MSI is a decent deal with quad core i5 and GTX 960M

How much RAM do you have? You could always try adding some, which would help with multitasking and having many windows open. Browser games are not resource intensive (other than RAM), and definitely don't require a gaming computer. You already have an SSD so I'd say looking into RAM is the next step, and much cheaper than a new computer.

Edit: If it's the standard G4 I can see on Tesco's website, it only has 4GB RAM so you would definitely see an improvement if you go to 8 or even 16.

Think there's a better looking Msi deal on saveonlaptop yeah 4gb ram one from Tesco. Hmm I could consider that but I would like a FHD or 4K screen.

Sorry for jumping in on this. I'm after a cheap gaming laptop purely to just play my steam backlog from 2015 and earlier. I'm not fussed about current AAA games. Would the 960m GPU do the trick?
