Gaming Laptop

Ok, after making a post and losing my mind about building my first pc, I decided that it would be waaaaay too expensive to build/buy, plus I travel A LOT so I decided to go for a laptop... ideally (in my dreams) I’m looking for a 120hz, g-sync laptop with a 1070. The best offer I could find is a HP omen 120hz, g-sync i7 7700HQ with 1060 6gb for 1150£ more or less. My question is: is it a good deal? I would be looking to play FPS like overwatch, titanfall and R6Siege mainly, plus mods on fallout any suggestions or recommendations are extremely welcomed! Thanks 😁
P.S any good websites where I can buy laptops with finance? It would better than just cash, but not necessary.

True, but it suits my needs more because of my travelling so I need to compromise
That HP has only got a GTX1050, add another £500 for a 1070.
A few 1070 laptops have been posted on here for £1200 so £1150 for a 1060 would be a poor choice.

Not sure if any are 120Hz, but better than getting a 1060 for £1150. The …Not sure if any are 120Hz, but better than getting a 1060 for £1150. The performance difference is rather huge and the cost is only about 10% more.https://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/ideapad-y910-173-fhd-i7-gtx-1070-16gb-ram-256gb-ssd-1tbhdd-129999-lenovo-2852865#commentshttps://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/gaming-laptop-acer-predator-17-intel-core-i7-processor-16gb-ram-gtx-1070-1tb-hard-drive-128gb-ssd-storage-173-at-bargain-crazy-115144-2738764#commentshttps://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/medion-erazer-x7849-173-screen-i7-6700hq-cpu-16gb-dd4-ram-480gb-ssd-gtx-1070-8gb-medion-129999-2810123#commentshttps://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/lenovo-y910-i7-6820hk-gtx-1070-1299-lenovo-2835456?page=1#comments-lasthttps://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/lenovo-black-friday-yoga-910-4k-i7-512gb-ssd-109999-or-ideapad-y910-173-fhd-i7-gtx-1070-16gb-ram-256gb-ssd-1tbhdd-129999-lenovo-see-op-for-more-2834520#commentshttps://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/lenovo-y910-i7-6820hk-gtx-1070-1299-lenovo-2835456?page=1&newcomment=32526589#comments-new

You could easily build a 1080 desktop for the same price tho. I have an Asus rog Strix 1070 laptop and that has g sync and it gas got rid of tearing I used to get with my 290X desktop.

Do you have the GL502VS? And yeah that's very annoying.. it's a real shame but portability is just too important for me, I wish I could just stay in one place for a while 🤣

Well I had a desktop with a 290X, i73770, 16GB, 256GB ssd and that could play pretty much everything maxed at 1080p and obviously the laptop can play them completely maxed out. Doesn't get too noisy at all, it's way way way thinner than most 1070 laptops and much much much lighter, it is bearable heat wise playing with it straight onto my lap with a 360 controller rested on the trackpad. Screen is a nice 1080p one and is matte, has good viewing angles but it's not exactly out of this world as you would expect from a £2.1k laptop. Speakers are literally just loud enough for gaming and watching a movie, but due to the slimness there's no sub etc which I had on my last Dell gaming laptop.

The biggest problem, which you get with many laptops is the software for the trackpad. It's butter smooth and can do every thing you want gesture wise one minute, then all of a sudden the cursor will change to the swirling ring (like the Pc is doing something strenuous) and the trackpad will get laggy and jumpy. It's only every so often and only lasts a few seconds and can normally be rectified by turning the trackpad off for a second by doing FN+Fwhatever.
If I had bought it for anywhere near rrp I would have returned it for that issue, but I didn't so I get over it.
