Hey people!

Looking to spend around £1k after discounts and cashback. Being scouring around for the best deals but feel like I'm going round in circles, been on all the manufactures sites but unsure what is a good deal!

Thanks in advance

I was in the same bubble I'd find a good laptop then I see it has a crappy screen! Then I'd find a great one then reviews say it's retarded temperature control then another the keyboard was not centred...

At the end. Someone posted dell outlet 15% on alienware, these are normally super damn expensive I didn't even bother looking at it but when I saw on there... 13-17 inch starting from 800 to 1400 - go check out that thread if you haven't already.

I managed to get an i7, 8gb ram, 13 inch with the amazing oled screen 1060 graphics card (just over 1k)
Thanks!

I'm able to get the below (smaller ssd) for 989:

Thoughts?
£800-900 will get you a 1060. £1100-1200 will get you a 1070. So I would really try to stretch and get some thing with a 1070 in because there is a huge difference in games between the two.

Can't get to the item due to the student website. Does that laptop have a 1050ti? If so that's a terrible graphics card for that price range if you main aim is gaming. 1060 doubt easily be in budget and is a lot better.
The card is the 1060, I'm struggling to find many sub 1k with a 1060

Not bad. Really don't need that i7, an i5 would be perfect and then 12/16gb ram and 256gb ssd spent on the money saved. Does that Lenovo have an Ips screen or have you looked at reviews for the screen?

Ah ok, so a larger SSD and RAM would be more beneficial than the i7? (Sorry I have a very limited knowledge when it comes to things like this)

The reviews say the screen can be dull but this is for the slightly older model and I'm struggling to find a current review

You could just about get away with 8GB of ram. I suppose with the 1TB drive also in their the 128GB ssd won't be so bad, but some games are 60GB plus and you really want Windows and games on the ssd to improve load times.
I think the laptop you are looking at was or is available for £900.

The screen is Ips so don't worry about it. Some are tn panels and they are rubbish.
Unfortunately that deal is no longer active, I think it's for a slightly older model. Thanks again!

Will maybe scour the sites a little longer
