Ratchet & Clank: A Crack In Time will be released for PlayStation 3 this autumn, according to publisher SCEE.
The latest edition in the multi-million selling franchise will conclude events that began in Tools Of Destruction and Quest For Booty, with fans of the series finally learning the duo's destiny and origin.
Powered by Insomniac Games fourth-generation PS3 technology, the title features brand new space gameplay, allowing players to engage in galactic battles and planetary exploration.
A new cast of characters will be introduced, along with a few familiar faces, and an array of new weapons and abilities will be available.

Electronic Arts has announced that The Sims 3 will not feature Digital Rights Management (DRM) protection when it launches later this year.
Rod Humble, the new head of EA's Sims Division, announced that the game would be free of DRM technology and would use a serial code authentication system instead.
"We feel like this is a good, time-proven solution that makes it easy for you to play the game without DRM methods that feel overly invasive or leave you concerned about authorisation server access in the distant future," he said.
EA suffered a major backlash when evolution title Spore required online DRM authentication in order to play. The game went on to be pirated 1.7 million times.
The Sims 3 is due to be released for the PC on June 5.…tml
