Gaming PC for Granddaughter

Posted 7th Sep
Hi,

My daughter has asked me if I can recommend a PC for her daughter.

The most taxing game the PC needs to be able to play is The Sims 4, right now. The rest of the games she plays are things like Roblox and some others of the same type.

Money is factor too, so the best bang for buck to meet the above criteria is what I'm after.

Any suggestions?

From Sarden's post I think. This should make for a great starter pc with interchangeable parts.

So will the Vega 8 be sufficient?

Yes, for the games you've described it really should be. I've seen it run one of the more demanding games at 720p resolution so this will be fine for 1080p gaming for those titles.

16GB Ram, would be give a great advantage, on the next tier of games above games u mentioned.

saying that cheapest will do? or did u want to put a budget down and go, i want the best for ....?. if so whats that.
These questions could always do with a budget as wanting the best bang:buck and and to spend as little as possible is a universal feeling

The Palicomp linked above will play those games but I'd personally change the APU to an 3400G, upgrade the ram to 16gb 3200mhz (faster ram makes a massive difference for APUs) and the SSD to 480gb for just under £400. That system will play any game available (albeit at medium settings and sometimes at 720p).
Indeed. Wasn't sure on budget but have had a chat and I think she can stretch to around £400
