Gas or Electricity, which is faster to heat water?

or even both at the same time, as I have the technology. But dont know if this will explode my house, lol.

on a cooker you mean? to heat a pot of water? I believe gas would be quicker because the electric ring needs to heat up.

when i've heated my water using electricity its been almost instaneous where as using gas takes about 15-30 minutes to heat the water. This is on a cooker though, this has been for hot water through the taps

Electric is quicker but, as has been said, much more expensive. Mine comes out scolding when I do it that way. Heat it with the gas aswell so once it's hot you can turn it (the electric switch) off.

i dont know for sure but surely its gas

hence combi boilers instant hot water

Gas is more cost effective - electric is a very expensive way of doing things.... xxxxx
