    gearstick gaiter how easy are they to fit?

    new one has just arrived as the old one is scruffy and had its day,how easy are they to fit? guess its a mans job?

    No, should be simple, should just be able to unscrew the gearstick knob on the top then pull the old one off and fit the new one on.

    easy as pie. most models you simply unscrew the gearstick knob. then either undo some screws holding the bottom of the gaiter in place or release some clips doing the same.

    if not its a case of it sitting around the house waiting for him to do it for a few months

    Spot on. If it has lift up reverse it'll probably be a nightmare to get the knob off. If its standard reverse it should be a piece of you know what.
