have you?what number did you call?which part of the contract or act of parliament/ofcom ruling or common law did you cite?

Can anyone verify this?

I was proper stitched into a 12 month contract with those [insert expletives here]. I took their land line when I moved house last August, ONLY because I needed internet for work. They more than happily obliged. They then tell me that I can only get a 512k connection on that line to the new address. Would they let me out of the 12 Month contract?

Would they balls!

God dam...wish i was still with BT...bikini model you say..........bloody TalkTalk......LOL

supermod

Moved to MISC as this is info rather than a 'Deal', thanks.

I did this the other week.
I was only 2 months into a 12 month renewable contract on the evening and weekend plan.
Told BT that the new off peak hours were not what I signed up to and after 5 minutes on hold and explaining to them their terms and conditions (they said I would have to pay for the remaining 10 months) allowed me to finish the contract, I am now on the basic plan free to leave in March when O2 start their landline service.
Martin Lewis was on the One Show last week explaining all this was possible.
Word of warning though, I think you only have10 days from receiving the letter to cancel your contract. BT asked why I was leaving and I told them about O2 then they suggested waiting until March. Wouldn'thave been able to leave then without incuring penalties.

Sorry im confused by your post.......are you saying that you got out of contract free or not....

Yes.
I was tied in to a 12 month renewable contract(evening and weekend plan) but I am now on the basic plan only with inclusive weekend calls and no minimum contract. Free to leave whenever I please.

When does the change to the free calls happen please?

I haven't heard about this at all? Anyone know when this starts, please?
