As his other senses are hightened what about booking him in for a body massage or an Indian Head massage?

I teach IT to a group of visually impaired adults, the best thing one of them was bought was a talking watch, maybe he already has one though!

Perhaps some IT lessons!!

Well I have to say I have never heard of that kind of software, when they replied that they were blind I couldn't understand it.

Does it really work, if it does that is just so clever.

We use a program called Jaws, which is really expensive, like £500 per licence, but has it's limitations, for MS office programs it's pretty good, but the internet it is awful, Basically it starts in the top left hand corner of the screen and works along, reading every single word on the screen as it goes. Try going to google, typing something in, then reading every word until you get to one you might need!!!!!

That's why i was interested, i have a new guy starting in January and he really wants to learn to use the net after he's learnt to touch type, but i'm stumped on how to do it!!

This one is very good. However i use a free one from VISTA which is a charity for blind. Im not sure what mine is called.
They are amazing and i wouldnt be able to use a pc without one. especially before my cornea transplant was done.

Yes greg they do work and they are rather facinating. except if people use abbreviations then it causes grief.

yopu cud try ebay too they will maybe be cheaper
