more overweight people, longer I stay a model brah.

I don't think its a bad idea, especially when you consider the damage it can do to teeth!

Remember its Britain - if it tastes good or is bad for you then it is usually taxed,

good idea, hopefully the nation will get fitter and take some strain off our NHS

I do think it is a good idea - I'm quite a chocoholic / sweet lover. As a child I would often save my lunch money for a trip to the tuck shop or the sweet shop. If these were higher priced, I probably would spend my money more wisely.

Now of course I am an adult - I don't know if it will stop me... I earn more

Next they will suggest taxing our sofa's!!!!!!!

We will end up buying chocolate from chocky dens in remote parts of town from shaddy cocoa dealers, getting our fix of cadburys and chasing the wispa bar, while freebasing maltesers

They will just smuggle it in, disguised as Whisky.

For those on the Border........a quick 2 minute drive and money saved. lol

LOL - I wonder if I'd get that desperate? Maybe

My daughter at 12 months pulled the Christmas tree down on herself, in a desperate attempt to reach the chocolate I had put higher up! She had tasted it once before then ... but the damage is done!

Well, its safe to say im going to have to cut back on the chocolate, no easter eggs for the kids

lol, thats how it starts, first its the soft stuff (christmas chocolate) and you end up using the 82% pure dark chocolate!!!!

    Ridiculous,

Probably just another way of clawing back the debacle that was the VAT cut...

    lol, credit crunchie

and of course its chocolate's fault that people get fat, never mind fast-food, microwave food, processed food, and over eating on anything will pretty much cause your body mass to increase, dur....

Doesn't appear to be working. You don't have a job (or much else going for you)

obesity is through a lack of education in nutrition and the fact that good for you foods cost to much ,, with people stuggling to make ends meet atm its only going to get worse as people buy the food they can afford not what is good for them !
whats next a tax on air ,!

I agree mostly. Of course like anything it's not quite as black and white as that.

Unfortunately some people have health issues or emotions and cravings that overide their education and willpower.

I went off on one after this, but have deleted it... realising I am going far off topic. LOL.

Anyone know if cocoa can be grown here in London? Hehehe desperate measures
