I find Glenmorangie on of the worst single malts. Try eg Talisker or Glenlivet both of which are infintely better!

Definitely not the worst, but not the best either. Prefer the Isle single malts myself

    thanks fopr the info
glenmorangie is the only single malt i have tried, what sort of prices should i bne looking to pay for another one?

Go to the whisky centre just down the stride from Edinburgh Castle - great day out and as much information and tasting as you could possibly want. Cheap as chips to get there nowadays. Then decide if a particular malt is the one for you.:)

Actually, re-reading OP a good Irish Whiskey seems to fit the bill - Paddies?
It was the 'slihjtly different drinks ' that gave it away!!

NFS quoted 'I normally drin jack daniels and jim beam but comes nowhere close to glenmorangie in my opinion, slihjtly different drinks but glenmorangie is the one for me from now on' a wee dram too many, according to those keying errors, hicc... :-D
