Watching GMTV this morning, that money guy has lots of good tips so I went to the gmtv website and clicked on the money section, then into 'quick tips' to save money. There's lots of good tips there and one of them said to use cashback sites with a link to GMTV's own cashback site (is it like quidco? - I don't know, I've never signed up). I did sign up for the GMTV one and got £2.50 just for joining. It gives cashback for switching suppliers, buying stuff online etc..
I'm sure some of you will like this (or have something to say about it!)
Hope it's useful to someone!

This looks good at first glance, I am with Top cash back and i dont pay any fees for that but i believe Quidco is £5 IF you get that much a year.
Do you have to pay and annual fees with this one or any subs do you know??
AND you could introduce a friend and get £2

If you mean that guy Martin Lewis then may I suggest you visit www.moneysavingexpert.com

At a quick glance the cashback offers dont seem as good as the ones on top cash back site i am with but there is nothing to say you cant be a member of both so i have joined too. I will recommend my sister although it does say she has to get £15 before i can get my £2.

MSE used to be the top site for Bargains but when Martin Lewis forgot his website and went into TV the amount of Forums members went down the toilet since he no longer took time to update his site.

MSE is surviving but not as active as HUKD.

Thats how HUKD now rules for Bargains !!!

I suppose there are only so many hours in a day to be fair.

You can register with them and get e-mails of the 'best' deals free, but I ususally find the deals have already been posted on here before the e-mail arrives.

I know its a bit off the topic, but I have signed up to TopCashBack and was wondering what is the best way for them to pay me vi paypal or bacs? thanks!

 to be honest, i havent got that far yet. I have arount £17 payable but was waiting a bit longer then i will claim but i dont know how i will be doing it yet.

i haven't done any cashback yet but was just wondering hehe

I've used Topcash back and built up about £100 through Expidea, Purple parking Buyit Now on Ebay and also 10p for each time i use Kelkko

One important point here:

HUKD tends to be about spending money, but spending it in a savvy way - where to get the best bargains, discounts, etc. It's probably inevitable that you will spend more on HUKD as you tend to spot things that you never knew you needed/wanted and they're too cheap to leave!!

MSE on the other hand is better for financial advice (loans, mortgages, bank fees, etc) and consumer action. The deals on MSE is a little bit of an afterthought really. Primarily their site is about saving money and managing finances.

So really, IMHO, HUKD and MSE are two slightly different sites and not *quite* direct competition.
