I'm looking at going 'anywhere' for 2 weeks from friday 4th July (it can be any date up to a week later) it will be just myself and my 10 year old son - what can anyone find me please ? - it must be somewhere with a beach within easy walking distance and warm/hot - no skiing holidays thanks - oh and it must be 'abroad' lol not within the U.K. - forgot to add - leaving from any london Airport (Gatwick, Heathrow or Stansted (I know Stansted isn't in London but it's classified as London by Travel Agents))

How much do you want to spend?

What about london Luton airport
Flights Mon 7th July coming back Sun 20th July to Barcleona Reus for you both work out £84.98 (ie. £42.49 return including taxes, bags extra) on www.ryanair.com (bags extra).

The airport bus meets all flights and drop you at your hotel and picks you up on return for £10 per adult and £8 per child approx (you pay on bus and they put note and time of pick up hotel on return in diary) to Salou. Total return transfers £18 or £50 return in a taxi.

Salou has a beach, shops, plenty of places to eat and a road train that takes 5 mins to reach the fab portaventura theme park and water park (your son will love it) or 20 min walk from the town. It is a great theme park-ex universal, like Dinseyland without the queues and better rides and shows. The aqua park beside it is great. There is also a train that is quite cheap and quick that you can go into Barcelona from Salou.

www.travelrepublic.co.uk put in costa dorado/salou and dates and self catering £616.59 (308.29 each) for the 2 of you or half board £711.47 (35573 each). www.alphroomas.com Top Molinos park hotel has all inclusive £865 (£432.50 pp) for the same dates. So self catering total £359.78 each.(flights, accomodation and transfers) half board £407.25 each or all inclusive £483.99.

www.portaventura.com for theme and water park details 14 day theme park pass £65 per adult. child £53.

It might be worth asking your local high street travel agent, especially as you're not too fussy about where you go. I suspect that as you get nearer to the date they may be able to get you a late booking, or if you ask them nicely they might even keep a look out and 'phone you when any new deals come in. You can only ask!

I went to Benidorm for 2 weeks at Easter with my 10yrs old daughter and she loved it. The beach is fantastic and there's loads to do and see in Benidorm.

Found you a terrific holiday with Portland Direct
2 weeks at The Hotel Presidente in Portinax Ibiza half board £758.00 4th July
I've also been here with my daughter and cannot praise this hotel enough, the food is the best iv'e had at any hotel and being a superfamily hotel there's lots of other children to make friends with and the best kids club ever, the resort itself has 2 beautiful bays which are very safe for children to swim in and just a 1 minute walk downhill from the hotel. Read the reviews on tripadvisor, go here and you won't be disappointed.:-D
