Money's not stretching very far this month, and in a new city visiting a friend so have set myself a little challenge,

To spend absolutely nothing, but still come home with some goodies!

Does anyone have any suggestions as to where I might be able to pick up some little freebies?

So far I have these ideas....

*Collect a free coffee & muffin from Costa thanks to the Costa Club promo currently on freebies.
*Lush for a little tester bar of something
*Make up counters in department stores.

All local libraries have free information guides as does any Tourist Information Office - They often give local things away for free.
Food Markets (the more upmarket the better ? give sample goods

I'm in Norwich, will check out the market but think it's just a general one..that website is good, but some of the deals on there are from 2009!! Think I'm gonna just go for a wander and see what I can find for myself! I shall let you all know if I get anything or not!!

Can't beat shop lifting for great savings

Even better, get caught and they'll chuck in some free meals then too, maybe even a change of clothing if it's a large amount.

I reckon if you timed it right you could get your dinner for free.. loads of places bin their sarnies etc at the end of the day..

Seriously though, Ive seen something on TV (the real hustle maybe) and she did alright getting a load of freebies and discounts on stuff.. Im sure it had nothing to do with her being pretty fit..

Let us know how you get on

Ladbrokes, William Hill and argos all have free pens available. Usually little red or blue biros.

College students offer free beauty treatments/pedicure/manicures and makeovers. But you would need to book first.
Try speaking to your local college and see what they have to offer for free

Am exhausted! Free shopping is more tiring than normal shopping! Had a good day, good haul mostly cosmetics so perhaps not one for the men, but booty is as follows...

1x 7ml Lancome Genifique Sample
2 x Estee Lauder sample pots of creams-1 day, 1 night.
2x Estee Lauder foundation samples
5 x Benefit samples
1x Neals Yard sample
2x Mac Samples
3x Body Shop samples
L'occitane sample sachets x6
Sisley sample sachets x2

Lush Coal Face sample soap bar

Costa Coffee Mango & Passionfruit Ice Cooly free with Costa Club card points.

Funniest thing was at the Sisley counter in John Lewis, was looking at the moisturisers and the counter woman came over and started saying how expensive everything is, 'It's absolutely top of the range, these moisturisers are over £200 each, this one...is £440!!!' then looking me up and down. I had a cape on and my shoulder bag under my cape, when I took it off and put it on the counter and she saw it was an Anya Hindmarch she was suddenly falling over herself to give me the testers and samples! Stuck up madam!

Do they?
They didn't when I was at college.. That was about 10yrs ago though.

Well done op, you got a fair bit there!

(Im not surprised at your experience with the snooty woman.. Most of the women in the perfumery dept looked down on the rest of us working in the store, Im not quite sure what made them more superior seeing as we we're essentially doing the same job! I try and avoid them all now.. Rimmel all the way lol)

Would you do it all again?

A good haul - well done.

I actually would do it again, but like asap, then i'm stocked up for months without having to do it again, I wouldn't do it here again for a while, but seeing as I'm in another city tomorrow, and another again on Sunday I might be tempted to stock up!! The amount of benefit Dear John I have will keep me going for ages! As well as the MAC foundation I've got.

I felt a bit bad seeing as I wasn't buying anything, but they were all really friendly except the snotty one, and in most cases I will actually go back to buy something from there in the future after the service I had today.

And even though I could afford Sisley if I wanted to, I won't be shopping there in future, woman was a right pain to talk to until she spotted my label, shopping shouldn't be like that, and although part of me was happy I very clearly received better service because of my nice handbag(investment lol), another part of me thought that I don't usually have that particular bag with me, and could quite as easily have been treated like muck any other time.

I was at a bit of a loss as to what to do except target cosmetic counters though lol, I can hardly go into WHSmiths and say 'Gizza free mag!' lol x
