ive been to the zoo which i thought was good, i also love the arcades in coral island. the sealife centre was good but not very big and was over quite quick, if you book tickets online its slightly cheaper than paying on the day.

can also get deals and money off places from the tourist information center.
when are you going there as some places arent open all year round so if your going out of season make sure you check if they are open.

Going Monday... got £100 of Tesco days out vouchers to use...

If the weather is good picnic on the beach. Pubs on the front aren't really family orientated and the food is overpriced and naff. You have the Sea life centre, the zoo and the Sandcastle.

i think they are still doing work on the tower well looking out my window its still got stuff going on at the top.

the zoo is good i live about 5 minutes walk from it and had membership so used to go all the time.
sandcastle is good if you bring there swimming gear, its currently free this month for residents which won't help you unless you know someone here
pleasure beach is always a good idea but a bit pricey.
always deals on sealife centre around

if i was you personally i wouldnt eat in the town centre as its a bit more expensive but if you don't know the area or don't have transport might be your only option

any questions i'll have a go at answering them hth

Have transport.... so give me some family friendly pubs, prefarably with something for the kids to do in them... I know there is one just along the front somewhere, well just set back off the front, cant remember its name, towards tower end...

stanley park is lovely, if you need to escape from the bingo wings and tatts.

Kids will be facinated by the hustle and bustle of Blackpool. Only thing is there is so much renovation work going on. The Golden Mile is great with its flashing lights, arcades, burger/icecream shops. I think if you go you need to be prepared to spend money on rubbish unless the weather is good.

see i wouldnt say many pubs in the town centre are family friendly i'd prefer ones with parks or wacky warehouse attacted cos they are cheaper cos they ain't tourist based.

Air balloon at the airport has a wacky warehouse simple drive straight out of blackpool down lytham road can't miss it. plus you can watch some planes and helicopters take off lol.

Outside Inn at the end of the M55 near the premier inn is nice really nice decore (its outside inside) and wacky warehouse attacted and little park at the front i personally like it there with my two kids but mine are a bit younger than yours

yeah stanley park is nice again i'm around the corner from there and its opposite the zoo so could tie it in with a visit to both

Have they nearly finished all of the work now? Hope Blackpool gets back to what it used to be - ie a nice family orientated holiday place - doubt it but you never know.
ps I don't mean to put you off as you can still find nice places to visit.

very close to Outside Inn 5 mins by car

drive out of the park turn left heading towards the M55 you'll come to some traffic lights you wanna go straight on at the roundabout and NOT join the M55 then you'll come to another roundabout almost straight after it you wanna turn right literally drive around it as if your almost going back on yourself but turn off before you do you'll see b and q. The Outside Inn is opposite a huge B and Q warehouse and next to Premier Inn you can't miss it.

its really not far at all if you google it you'll see just how close it is

just so you know your really close to tesco and asda is just a bit further incase you are wanting to buy food in or anything and don't wanna pay caravan park prices

also next door to the zoo is a big soft play centre called aardvark adventure playbarn blackpoolzoo.org.uk/pla…cfm which you can get into without having to go to the zoo can't remember the cost but if you go to the zoo you could go in or if you go to stanley park for the day which will be free you could then walk across to the zoo and go in the soft play for a bit with the kids.
just seen this too - Special Offer - all children visiting the zoo get half price entry into the Playbarn - (must be within 5 days of zoo visit)

if you park at the zoo have some change to hand as its £2.50 now to park i think it did use to be £2.00

sorry about the information over load lol

if you go to the pleasure beach they are doing an offer where both adults and childrens wristbands to nickelodeon land are £18
i agree stanley park is lovely and a cheap day out if u pop down the road to tescos and get picnic stuff and a cheap loaf of bread, u can feed the ducks, have a picnic, let the kids go play on the slides etc, maybe hire a boat out for an hour.
the zoo is really good atm, wev just had a new wading bird aviary put up, and last sat (not yest) we had a baby donkey called leah born. theres some baby camels, tebogo the zebra is still quite young, and meisie the baby gorilla is still tiny considering shes over a year old now. and theres a petting area for the kids to go and play with goats, sheep and bunnies, and a massive plastic cow they can milk. The new cafe is really good, but I would take your own food tbh as in all attractions, it can be pricey to feed a family.
oh n for a quick lazy meal if uv had a long day, ur only up the rd from pizza hut, kfc, subway, and mcdonalds (its all in one area pretty much)

    Thanks for your help everyone

West Coast Rock Cafe is great - half price burgers on Mondays. It is near St Johns church - it is upstairs we have been loads and never had a bad meal. There is a small play area which kids seem to really enjoy.

yeah some areas arent the best, esp as they seems to be trying to do major reworking in lots of places at the same time, but come further inland, or just away from the centre, and it has some much nicer areas, blackpool isnt just the town centre u know!
