Going to Vegas in June - Ideas please

Hi Y'all.

Going to Las Vegas in June and I'm looking for ideas on where to go etc. I'm taking my father (nearly 70) as he has always wanted to see the Grand Canyon.

So will be arranging a helicopter flight to the canyon with a day on a ranch as he loves cowboy films.
Also am thinking of going to the Hoover Dam.

Was wondering if anyone has anymore ideas of must see places to go (maybe some links etc).
We're not much of gamblers so the casino's wont be too much of a distraction for us.

Thanks in advance

Grand Canyon flight normally takes you over the Hoover Dam, we were going to make a seperate trip but after seeing it from the air we didnt go to the Dam specifically.

Fremont Street where the evening entertainment and light display on the roof is really good. Tix Tonight next to the MGM GRand and M&M shop is your best bet for cheap show tickets!

Dont rule out the casinos they're an experience in themselves

If your hiring a car Red Rock Canyon is good

Sounds like a trip of a lifetime. I can't say I've been - but I do wish you all a lovely time. Lucky you!

The Mustang Ranch Looks Like A Fun Place On Tv.

Grand Canyon is the most impressive thing I've seen. Standing on the South Rim looking in is spectacular.

Make sure your trip does land there!

This is the trip we're … This is the trip we're consideringhttp://www.viator.com/tours/Las-Vegas/Grand-Canyon-Helicopter-and-Ranch-Adventure/d684-3422_G09?currencyCode=GBP

Looks good, but doesnt sound like you get the chance to stand on the South rim?

going in june too. Last time I went was 11 years ago on honeymoon, taking my 10 and 7 year old this time. We're don't gamble either. Was the best place ever, with so much to do. www.vegas.com has everything you need to know. Staying at Orleans hotel, but they say you can't take children into the bar, so a bit worried that we won't be able 2 sit and have a drink in the evening, anyone know about this?

don't miss the fountains show at the Bellagio every hour, free and really great. If you like elvis I'd go to Bill Gamblin Hall (on the strip) and watch Big Elvis. It is a free show and the drinks are cheap and he is a really great Elvis inpersonator, he's just fat. You can watch him on You Tube or on the website for Bill Gamblin Hall.

The Mirage has a Dolphin and Lion habitat which is good. It just walk the strip taking in most of the hotels, they're all themed and differ. My favourite is the venetian with the venice canals and gondalas which you can take a ride on. There is part of the venetian which you can't tell your inside. Its great
