Golf Depot

Found 30th Oct 2009
Is this a legitimate site, it seems a little dodgy to me.

Thanks Phil

Hi thanks for replying, does that mean the site is ok to buy from.

well they got contact details, and are established, couldnt find any complaints on google about them - its your shout though dude
what you buying?
Ok thanks
I recently purchased a TaylorMade Wood from this company everything seemed find, good price, email response confirming payment and club delivered within days - FANTASTIC - or so I thought.

When I unwrapped the box the wrench required to adjust the head was not included so I rang them, they assured me this was a genuine mistake and one would be sent to me within a few days. This was a Father's Day present so the gift needed to be complete and they assured me the item would be delivered in time for the event.

Nothing turned up I rang again and this is when the abuse, rudeness and total lack of care and attention came out. They initially refused to speak with me and hung up, second time they told me they were too busy to speak with me and advised me to email in, despite the fact I had already emailed twice with no reply, and the third time I spoke to the manager who refused to give me his name, told me he could not care less about my query and again hung up.

Eventually I had to go to American Golf and buy the wrench for £15.99 and raise the complaint through my credit card company.

You take a chance with this company, I certainly won't be dealing with them again.
terrible company to deal with. I bought goods and they never arrived despite twice been told that the goods had been dispatched(on different days). After 3 weeks they admitted that the goods had been lost by Parcelforce and that I would need to email them to get my money back....which took another 7 days after sending the email. I must have made 10 phone calls and sent 10 emails to this company and not once did I get a call from them. A full calendar month after them taking my money, I eventually got a full refund (just before I made arrangements to get the money directly from their premises) but the fact that the goods were for my nephews birthday (which was missed because of this despite ordering 2 weeks before his birthday) made it more annoying. Stick to eBay!!!!
I've recently placed 2 orders with them - I got the items okay and prices of somethings are very good. But just be careful with some of their descriptions......
Dont use them terrible company they are nothing more than theives.
Recently purchased 3 Cleveland Launcher DST woods/hybrids at almost 25% cheaper than anywhere else. Got through on telephone (eventually) and staff sound harried and stressed. Manager best described as "curt". That said, he threw delivery (next working day) in gratis. Delivery arrived safely (next but one working day, but what do you want for free). Clubs well packaged and as described, with covers, etc, included.

Lots of bad press on the internet about this crowd (especially customer services if there are problems). I was lucky, I guess, as my order was smooth and trouble-free. However, the manager's tone reminded me of Michael O'Leary of RyanAir fame. His view appears to be that his "low" prices forego his need to be polite to customers. Perhaps the operator of Golf Depot is of a like mind?

All in all, good product, great price and delivery. But would I be able to be positive if there had been a problem....?
Won't use them again. My order has apparently been lost in the post - Parcelforce state that the onus is on the Seller to take the loss claim out. Shame that The Golf Depot have just ignored all my e-mails. I've had to take a claim out from my card provider.

Shocking customer service.
Ordered Footjoys DNA size 8 in ocean blue/white from these guys. Ordered, paid and were delivered bang on time, I was a lil concerned regarding the reviews I read after I ordered them, but they are a company I will def be using again 100%
Won't use them again. Ordered goods, they took payment and then after 3 days I receive email out of stock and will be refunded. Waiting for refund! Go to the site and can still order same goods on web site. Very poor customer service and won't return to them again.
I have only ever dealt with them Golf Depot via the shop and not online. I have always enjoyed going there and seeing whats on offer from their vast stock. I have bought a number of items there which were very inexpensive but I think that the deals that were available previously are disappearing and prices are now more aligned to the better known stores. The manager there can be quite arrogant and has little in the way of customer care skills and the after sales service is non existent.

If you find an absolute bargain there and you are willing to take a chance then go for it, otherwise buy your golf gear elsewhere.
