Yeah you have got to be kidding

hi, just found COOP car insurance the cheapest so far and you get £50 food voucher. Cheers, Lee

Admiral, octagon - good price, LV=, Aviva

Cheapest is not necessarily the best. We went for cheapest on our last car, hit by drunk uninsured driver in a stolen car and the hassle we had with Car insurance company means I wouldn't recommend them to Satan.

So for me don't go for Zenith.

My advice, don't just jump on first cheapest quote. Read reviews on company aswell, just in case the worst happens and you need to claim.

I always stick with LV=. Competitive, and excellent customer service.

Saying a certain company is cheap is meaningless.
It may well be cheap to you but that's based on all things that are different to anyone else. .... vehicle ,age, occupation, postcode etc, etc.

did they increase the premium? I've been with admiral and they would increase the premium even if it is not your fault. switched to aviva, who actually laughed at the idea (but never had to claim with them so I don't know if they would)

go compare....comparison site.
phone the insurance company to get price down.

Why Aviva?

My husband is a bad driver with many claims and Aviva never seem to increase the premium that much!

don't always go with the cheapest. we were once insured with swiftcover, and when we had an incident (that wasn't our fault) it was an absolute nightmare. it dragged on for 2 years after the end of the policy.

We are now with GA, which is the internet arm of Aviva. Again, he reversed into a parked car and again the premium hardly increased!!!!

QuoteMeHappy is also Aviva's other internet arm.

Cooperative insurance is good and will be cheaper especially if you add your partner, also note that you need to get a quote on their own website as they are not on comparison website, i am with them for last 5 years and they are excellent, had an accident and the car was written off in 2015, got paid in 2 weeks no silly questions asked. Also they have a promotion going on for £50 food vouchers to spend at cooperative food, online quotations form is also to the point and no unnecessary questions asked, which helps in a quick quote. Customer service also excellent, as they send you an email after every time you call them to do the customer satisfaction survey, obviously if you want to.

Directline, no admin fees, great customer service webchat and phone

as said previously, sil;ly question depends what car, what driver, what history, restrictions ie mileage, age, other driver, size of engine, where parked, sports or import car,so many variables, suggest comparison websites then phone companies not on comparison sites, then if needed specialist companies depending on your car and situation,be aware biggest increase is down to post code

Perhaps your husband should quit driving?, Clearly a danger to himself and other road users and is pushing everyone else's premiums up.

Fair enough, I'm just thinking I'm lucky being from the other end of the Country, I wouldn't be too happy if someone ran into me, because then my insurance would go up even though it wouldn't be my fault!.
