Hi,
I am wanting to make my Sons room more of a teenagers pad now he's getting ready for secondary school. I am looking for good quality but don't want to pay the earth(He now has a Stompa furnished room...not wanting to pay those prices again!).
What I mean, by good quality is...I don't want the cheap stuff you can get in Argos where they chip easily, the doors fall off and the drawers all fall off their runners!
I have trawled the net looking at various sites but can't really find anything that looks like a good deal.
If anyone has found anywhere would they please let me know.
Thanks so much.

In fact, if anyone has bought any of the better quality, more expensive Argos furniture would they please let me know if it is any good?

Hi I don't think you can personally go wrong with Ikea, we have had loads from there and its great, range of prices aswell! I know what u mean about furniture liked some of Argos's. But we have only had good from Ikea! Hope thats helps!

isnt there a sale on at ikea soon?

not as soon as i thought ]clicky

:thumbsup:if you do decide to look at ikea - join up to their family card - 25% discount on a lot of items
if you are near it would be better if you go and see what you are buying - lot better than argos as bubbafatass says

I LOVE Ikea, cheap and sturdy! I got an entertainment unit from there and it has so much weight on it but the shelves are still straight! Yay!
Trouble is, we want to go there but are 55 miles away and have no van for a bed and wardrobe. I know they deliver now and although 35 is a bit steep I would still pay it...but...I want to go there to choose and then would have to pay for delivery on top!
Think this is probably what we will end up doing if we find nothing else.

just take loads of free pencils and tape measures to even out the cost of delivery.

I feel very boring now...I just went in and bought furniture...I feel as though I haven't lived!

lol! the kids market place bit is my favourite, they make everything such bright colours that you have to have it.
you know you dont need 6 brightly coloured platic, cups, bowl..... but at 99p how can you resist!

Would have to say Ikea, same as everyone else. Argos is ok, but stuff generally not as hard wearing. What about Tescos theres seems reasonable to me too.

Hope this helps.
