Watch out if buying Richardson knives from Amazon as they sometimes end up being badged as their new owner, Amefa UK. There was a big ding dong a few months ago, where people bought a set being sold as Richardson (I was one), but what turned up wasn't as advertised.

Never did find out what the end outcome was for people on here!! Have just notice though that that same same has now been correctly named as Amefa, but is now £25. Which is about £10 more than we paid!

Don't get a knife-set from M&S, I've seen sharper stones! blunt within a week, tops!

i bought a set from george (asda) about a year ago for uni, regularly used as theres 5 of us, really good set, still sharp, think they were about £15.

This is a Viners set. Great quality and looks nice too.

Keep a look out in TK Maxx if you have one local. I picked up a set of Richarson's for about £30. Great knives.

This one is on sale … This one is on sale http://www.argos.co.uk/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/Search?storeId=10001&catalogId=1500001501&langId=-1&searchTerms=8420826&Submit=GO+%3E

Thanks for reply, but 14 knives for £23 suggests to me that it's not decent quality.
I stand corrected if someone tells me different.

Is anyone actualy using a set they can recommend ?

Yep - the Argos half price set that I've recommned above. Got it the day I posted the deal and I'm really impressed with it. Super sharp knives - I can cut onions like they do on Ready Steady Cook now :-D
