good news for adams babywear (for a change)

Adams bought by its former owner
    Adams
Adams went into administration on 31 December

The Adams Childrenswear brand and the remaining 120 stores have been bought out of administration by one of its former managers, John Shannon.

It means that 1,900 jobs throughout the UK and Ireland should be saved.

Administrators PricewaterhouseCoopers have closed 147 stores and cut 1,100 jobs since taking over on 31 December.

my local adams closed already. Adams sell nice kiddies clothes but massively overpriced which was why not that many people shopped there in the first place. Asda/Tesco and even Next were cheaper

It really is good news but when I read the title I thought it was about ]THIS..

    Yay!

I'm really pleased it will stay open though i don't buy many of my kiddies clothes from there. Would rather go for cheap stuff from asda they can rubbish for muddy play or more expensive names for the better quality and they can wear clothes appropriate to whatever activities they are getting up to.

But i'm relieved to hear we wont be losing yet another store from the highstreet and pleased for the people whose jobs will now be safe

I'm really pleased, for the staff, high street and for me and my kids. Their clothes fit my kids nicely, and If I need something 'skinny' for them so they can look smart - instead of drowned - lol, then I go to Adams. They are expensive sometimes, but I've had some lovely clothes from there.

I wonder if they will be keeping their school uniform range? I've bought loads in the sale, but there's not alot left available on line any more!
